Very pleasant buying experience, made easy with Andrew's help. No pressure sales in sight at Johnson's. I did have a small issue with the battery on the car which I bought. These problems can be expected on a second hand car, it's how the issues are dealt with that matters. Within 1 day the issue was sorted by Andrew and the car is running great. I did mention how critical it was that I had a vehicle and so I was provided with a courtesy car while mine was fixed.
I got an offer online from this garage for my car via the website trusted car buyers for 6175. When I arrived, they 'inspected' the car and despite the good condition of my car said they could only offer me 5700 because there were 2 previous owners! Literally behaved like the typical dishonest garage. I am fuming as if the offer had been genuine (which obviously it wasn't) I wouldn't have wasted my time going all the way to Otley to this garage on a Friday afternoon, with my husband and our 19 month old baby following me in another car. I really wished these car garages started to behave like decent companies. I left of course as I'd rather sell my car even at this price to a honest person. They might be nice when you're buying a car but it's another story when you're selling yours. Will definitely not use them again when it's time to buy or sell my next car. Nor will I used trusted car buyers.
As a woman purchasing her first Pickup Truck, I couldn't have felt more at ease and confident about buying from Edward Johnson Otley Ltd.I dealt with Andrew and he couldn't have been nicer. You see a lot of business's claiming to be 'a family business' to lull you in to a false sense of security but this is a genuine, honest and trustworthy family business.I turned up late in the day to view my pickup and even though it was Sunday and they should have been closing he made time for me to take it for a test drive by arranging for his mum to look after his son until his wife arrived.I've bought the Isuzu Yukon and I absolutely love it!It was gleaming and shiney like a brand new vehicle when I arrived to pick it up a week later (as it pretty much was on first viewing) and also because it had taken me an hour and a half to get there queuing in traffic all the way from Bolton, following Mr Sat Navs route, Andrew took the time to get the map out and show me an alternative, quieter more scenic way home. Thanks for that.Definitely worth the trip to see these guys, from where ever you are, as from my experience i can assure you, you can have complete peace of mind in buying from them.
