worst organisation of any bike shop iv used! wasted my full day and money dealing with them. Wouldn't recommend
First-class customer service when I bought my new bike on 3 January, 2019. Had only intended to do some research, but such was the quality of the service, I ended up parting with a tidy sum on the spot. Attentive listening to what I was after, careful measurements of my old bike (with Manager checking) transferred to suggestions as to an upgrade., and 3 or 4 possible options presented and discussed. A real pleasure to do business here (following very cursory treatment at a local competitor). If all the sales team is of a similar high standard, I cannot recommend Chevin Otley too highly. Tim
5 members of staff chatting amounts themselves at the counter, shopping with the GF to compare 2 mountain bikes.Waiting around looking at the 2 bikes. First thing member of staff says to us...if youre not buying anything were closing in 5 mins....walks off and joins the other staff. No offer of help advice or can we help you...so we walked out and spend 3k online instead .
Saturday afternoon. Bought my son a Trek bike. Customer service by Tom and Kev was top class. Bike checked, double checked, phone call recieved when they adjusted the parts to the required size, all information given was talked through. Free Health check service on bike within 8 weeks, and professional after sales surgeries are welcome. Plus a 10% discount on accessories,parts, clothing for 1 year. This company have been trading for at least 35yrs. New shop. Bigger shop. Bigger range. Big service .
I bought a Frog bike from the Otley store. The chap who dealt with me (Tom) was very knowledgeable and talked me through the pros and cons. He also spent time speaking to my daughter as well as ensuring that the bike we were buying was correctly sized. There was no pressure to buy which was refreshing. Would not hesitate to recommend.
